SMC Signals Indicator — User Guide

A short guide for reading zones, signal stages, visual TP/STL levels, popup alerts and mobile push notifications.

1. Quick Start

Basic setup

Attach the indicator

Open a chart, drag the indicator onto it, then check the settings before pressing OK.

Start with the default profile

The default settings are designed for clean SMC zone reading and balanced signal confirmation.

Enable alerts

Keep Popup and Mobile Push enabled if you want real-time notification from MT5.

Signal Mode	Choose how strict the confirmation logic should be.
Show Order Blocks / Show FVG	Turns main SMC zones on or off.
Popup Alert / Mobile Push	Controls where alerts are sent.
TP Mode / STL Mode	Controls visual target and stop reference levels.

2. Zones and Chart Labels

Teal group

Use this group to control what SMC zones and quality tags are displayed on the chart.

Setting name	Options / meaning	When to use
Show Order Blocks	On / Off	Display or hide OB supply-demand zones.
Show FVG	On / Off	Display or hide Fair Value Gap zones.
Zone Label Mode	OffCompactDetailed	Use Compact for a cleaner chart. Use Detailed when studying the logic.
Show Zone Quality Tags	Shows tags such as BOS, IDM, OB+FVG and retest status.	Keep enabled if you want to understand why a zone is important.
Show Retest Markers	Displays R1 / R2 markers.	Useful for identifying the first and second valid retest.
Show Zone Range	Shows the active entry area on chart.	Useful when preparing a manual entry around a zone.

Normal

A valid zone found by the indicator.

OB+FVG

A stronger overlap area where an Order Block and Fair Value Gap align.

IDM / Sweep

A higher-quality SMC condition related to liquidity and inducement.

R1 / R2

First / second valid retest of the zone.

3. Signal Modes

Violet group

Signal mode changes how strict the confirmation must be. It does not change the purpose of the indicator: the final signal is still based on a valid SMC zone and a confirmed condition.

Signal Mode	Legacy RSISMC BalancedSMC Strict	Choose the confirmation style.
Legacy RSI	Uses OB/FVG plus closed-bar RSI confirmation.	For users who want RSI as a main confirmation filter.
SMC Balanced	Uses qualified POI confirmation. RSI is not required.	Recommended default for cleaner SMC signal flow.
SMC Strict	Requires stronger SMC quality such as IDM/Sweep, trigger and RR confirmation.	For fewer but higher-filtered signals.
Require Trigger Candle	On / Off	Use On when you want stricter confirmation before a final signal.
Show Entry Arrows	On / Off	Displays BUY / SELL arrows on confirmed signals.
Alert on Newest Signal	On / Off	Alerts only on the newest closed-bar signal.

4. PRE Signal Box

Violet group

PRE WATCH

Price is near or touching a valid OB/FVG zone. This is an early attention stage.

PRE READY

The zone is active and the timing condition is almost ready.

CONFIRMED

A closed candle meets the selected signal mode and creates the final signal.

Show PRE Box	Shows PRE WATCH / READY information on chart.	Keep enabled for early signal tracking.
Show Only Best PRE Signal	Displays only the highest-priority PRE signal.	Recommended to reduce chart clutter.
PRE Box Corner	Moves the PRE box to your preferred chart corner.	Choose a corner that does not cover price action.

5. TP / STL Visual Levels

Amber group

Important: TP and STL levels are visual reference levels only. They help with planning and reading signals, but they do not place or manage trades automatically.

Use TP/STL Engine	On / Off	Turns visual TP/STL calculation on or off.
STL Mode	Zone EdgeFixed PointsATR Based	Choose how the stop reference level is calculated.
Fixed STL Distance	Distance in broker points.	Used only when STL Mode is Fixed Points.
STL ATR Multiplier	ATR multiplier value.	Used only when STL Mode is ATR Based.
TP Mode	Risk RewardFixed Points	Choose how the target reference level is calculated.
Fixed TP Distance	Distance in broker points.	Used only when TP Mode is Fixed Points.
Risk Reward	Multiplier based on Entry-to-STL distance.	Example: 2.0 means target distance is 2R.
Show Entry Range	Shows the confirmed signal range.	Helpful for manual entries.
Show Entry / STL / TP Lines	Turns each visual line on or off.	Disable lines if you want a cleaner chart.

6. Alerts: Popup and Mobile Push

Setting name	What it sends	Use case
Approach Alert	Alert when price is near an OB/FVG zone.	Early preparation.
Early Alert	Alert when price touches the zone and is almost ready.	Watch closely.
Confirm Alert	Alert when a confirmed signal appears.	Final signal notification.
Popup Alert	Shows an MT5 desktop popup.	Use when you are watching your computer.
Mobile Push	Sends a notification to your phone through MT5.	Use when you are away from your computer.

Set up Popup Alert

Open the indicator settings.
Go to the Alerts group.
Turn on Popup Alert.
Keep the desired alert stages enabled: Approach, Early and/or Confirm.
Press OK.

Set up Mobile Push

Install and log in to MetaTrader 5 on your phone.
On the phone app, open Settings and copy your MetaQuotes ID.
On MT5 desktop, open Tools → Options → Notifications.
Enable push notifications and paste the MetaQuotes ID.
Click Test. If the phone receives the test message, press OK.
In the indicator settings, turn on Mobile Push.

Telegram note: Telegram alert systems are disabled in the Basic version. Popup and Mobile Push still work normally.

7. Panels and On-Chart Display

Violet group

Setting name	What it does	Suggestion
Show Control Panel	Shows the compact control panel on the chart.	Keep enabled if you want quick visual control.
Control Panel Corner	Moves the control panel to a selected chart corner.	Use the corner with the least chart activity.
Show Status Panel	Shows the status / information panel.	Useful for checking the current indicator state.
Status Panel Corner	Moves the status panel to a selected chart corner.	Adjust to avoid covering candles or zones.

8. Abbreviations Used in the Indicator

SMC	Smart Money Concept	A trading approach focused on liquidity, structure and institutional-style price zones.
OB	Order Block	A supply or demand zone created before a strong market move.
FVG	Fair Value Gap	An imbalance area where price moved quickly and left an inefficient gap.
POI	Point of Interest	A zone or price area worth watching.
BOS	Break of Structure	Price breaks an important previous high or low.
IDM	Inducement	A liquidity area that may attract price before a stronger move.
RSI	Relative Strength Index	A momentum indicator used in Legacy RSI mode.
ATR	Average True Range	A volatility measure used for adaptive STL distance.
TP	Take Profit	The visual target reference level.
STL	Stop Loss	The visual stop reference level used by this indicator.
RR	Risk Reward	The relationship between target distance and stop distance.
R1 / R2	Retest 1 / Retest 2	The first and second valid retest of a zone.
PRE	Pre-signal stage	An early warning before a fully confirmed signal.
